This year has given me a fresh start.
New major, an opportunity to study abroad, and a restored faith in myself.
As a current junior at Syracuse University I recently changed my major from Art Photography to Communication and Rhetorical studies. Photography had been a passion of mine since high school and further education in this field was a dream of mine. However, some dreams lose their luster and I woke up to a reality check. The fear of not having success after college was apparent and I immediately took action to find another major.
This was terrifying.
As a second semester sophomore I didn’t know if I would graduate on time or what major fit my career goals. I pushed through and luckily I found a major that would take me down the path to my ideal career.
If anything, this year so far has shown me how to adjust and make changes. I want this blog to not only catalogue my thoughts and activities, but promote my interests and give me stronger sense of self.
